Mission
Our mission begins with working closely with our veterinarians, continuing our education about the Canadian Sphynx all while breeding for the purpose of providing unique, beautiful, happy and healthy babies. We will take every measure to provide you with a healthy kitten, free from any genetic defects.
Ethics *** DO NOT DECLAW ***
At Lily & Freddie’s Sphynx Cattery all our babies are hand raised and live amongst our household with the freedom to move and follow us at will from the day they are born. Human touch, companionship and socialization are necessary for the Canadian Sphynx to thrive and ensure confidence and provide you with a lifetime of joy.
- We feed all of our cats a raw diet.
- We will offer a lifetime of support.
- When you receive your new kitty they will be altered with NO EXCEPTIONS unless you have purchased a kitty for show and/or breeding.
- All our kittens will be up to date on all immunizations, up to and including 4 months of age
- Medical documentation, from a licensed veterinarian, will be included with your contract and will be provided at the time you pick up your kitten or he/she is delivered to you (Delivery could include an additional cost).
- We offer a 2-year warranty against any immediate illness or genetic defect.
- Our Queen and Sire are HCM tested yearly by a licensed Veterinarian Cardiologist. If they ever test positive, they are immediately altered and removed from our breeding program and will live the remainder of their life as a loved family member.
- If you choose to use one of our babies for breeding, we will provide litter registration and will be happy to mentor.
- You cannot breed before 10 months; however, we prefer 12 months.
- They must be negative for HCM prior to breeding from a licensed veterinarian cardiologist. If this process is not followed, registration papers will not be provided.
- We require access to your vet and all records that pertain to your breeding Queen or Sire. This will ensure that our goal to enhance the health of the Sphynx breed will continue and will add to the advocacy for healthy litter's in the future.
- If your breeding Queen or Sire ever test positive for HCM they must be immediately altered and removed from your breeding program.
- Yearly HCM test results must also be provided to Lily & Freddie Sphynx Cattery.
